Gravity insists that dirt should be dirt and stay flat - I’m naive enough to fight it.
I’m drilling and grinding in clay as if I was working in metal, wood etc. I use a sewing-machine! Inventing methods is an essential part of my work. It has a paramount influence on what I do, and how what I did, looks like. Changing the rules of the game as it goes on, finding solutions while making new problems. My ceramic constructions reflect these considerations. Sometimes they are about architecture or construction, mostly just abstract definitions of space with features that reminds my audience of something out there, blended together into a new ceramic unity.
